about
Stewardship
How we share responsibility and keep authority revisable.
In the Toroidal Way, stewardship is a temporary task rather than a spiritual rank. Our story The Unfinished Instrument expresses our conviction that whenever responsibility hardens into personal prestige, the practice begins to sour.
At the local table, circles rotate facilitation from gathering to gathering so no single voice becomes the permanent interpreter of the text. On this website, we publish our books, stories, and study tools openly without appointing a board of officers, collecting dues, or enrolling members.
If our community ever establishes formal organizational roles, public directories, or shared funds in the future, our covenant requires that named stewards, conflict-of-interest disclosures, transparent financial books, and clear accountability procedures be put in place before a single dollar or application is accepted. Today, no donations, fees, or payments are solicited anywhere in the Toroidal Way. If anyone asks you for money in the name of The Toroidal Way, they do not speak for us.
