Accessibility
How we design for different bodies, eyes, and ways of reading.
A path that welcomes ordinary human life must welcome the bodies we actually inhabit. In both our practices and our web design, we work toward the WCAG 2.2 AA standard.
Every page on this site uses semantic headings, keyboard-accessible controls, visible focus states, and clear text descriptions alongside interactive diagrams. The archive offers a clean list view alongside its desk layout, and every interactive instrument in the laboratory states its output in plain words as well as visual form. Our reader lets you adjust type size, line width, and contrast themes, and our stylesheets honor your operating system’s reduced-motion preferences.
In our contemplative practices, we never equate spiritual sincerity with physical endurance, sitting on the floor, or holding the breath. Every practice includes non-meditative ways to participate.
While we have set the book’s equations in accessible mathematical markup and provided descriptive captions for all fifteen plates, this site has not undergone an external third-party screen-reader certification. We continue to refine our markup and our language as we learn.
